Accessibility statement

Last updated: 14 October 2026

This English version is for convenience. The Dutch text is legally authoritative. Toegankelijkheidsverklaring

In short

  • We aim for a site that works with keyboard, screen readers and zoomed text.
  • The studio has stairs and narrow passages; load gear via the rear entrance by appointment.
  • Report barriers to [email protected]; we aim to reply within about 2 business days.
  • This statement covers milepostvivo.digital, not external maps or app stores.

1. Our commitment

Milepostvivo B.V. wants milepostvivo.digital and information about our recording studio in Amsterdam to be usable for as many people as possible, including visitors with visual, hearing, motor or cognitive disabilities.

We design against EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.1 level AA where feasible for a small commercial site. We do not guarantee full conformance, but we improve step by step from feedback.

2. What we do on the website

  • Semantic HTML with headings, landmarks and a single main navigation.
  • Sufficient colour contrast for body text in the studio theme.
  • Visible focus indicators for keyboard users on links and form controls.
  • Alt text on photos using our content descriptions.
  • Labels linked to fields on contact.
  • Language attributes per page (Dutch and English).
  • No cookie wall: the site works if you refuse optional cookies; see cookie policy.

We do not autoplay audio on the site. We do not embed third-party video players.

3. Known online limitations

Our map points to OpenStreetMap; accessibility of that external service is outside our control. Some decorative design elements are visual only and not required to understand content.

We send PDFs or attachments only on request; default communication is email and web pages. Older browsers may partially lack modern CSS features.

If you hit a barrier, describe the page and what fails; we will suggest a workaround or fix where we can.

4. Physical access to the studio

The studio is at Helmersstraat 73 in Amsterdam (Oud-West). Directions: Tram 1 and 7: get off at Overtoom (towards the city centre), then walk about six minutes via Helmersstraat. Metro 51 or 53: De Vlugtlaan stop, then tram 1 towards Leidseplein. On-street bicycle parking; load gear through the rear roll-up entrance by appointment.. Hours: Monday–Friday 10:00–22:00, Saturday 10:00–18:00, Sunday closed..

The street entrance has a few steps. We prefer loading heavy cases through the rear roll-up door; mention that when booking. Inside, narrow corridors and thresholds between live floor and booths are typical for a compact recording studio.

There is no lift in the building. Wheelchair access is limited; call 020 244 8619 to discuss what is feasible for your session. Parking is on-street; we have no dedicated accessible bay.

5. Alternatives for services

If you cannot attend in person, some work can be done remotely—for example Mixing or Mastering via agreed file transfer. Vocal recording and Band recording usually require being in the room.

Rates and terms are on services and in terms and conditions. Preparation guides are in our guides.

6. Feedback and enforcement

Send website accessibility feedback to [email protected] or 020 244 8619. We acknowledge receipt and aim to respond within about 2 business days.

If you disagree with our handling, you may follow the dispute route in article 6 of our terms where applicable, or complain to a regulator when the law allows.
